Request Quote

Send through your plans, room sizes, or a few photos and we will work out what is needed for your home or office. If the job is in Johannesburg, Sandton, Randburg, Pretoria, Centurion, or Pretoria East, we can price it properly and tell you where the savings or complications sit.

What to Send for a Proper Quote

The more detail we receive, the clearer the quotation will be. For ducted zoned systems, small differences in ceiling height, insulation, glazing, and room use can change the load and the equipment size, so it helps to start with the right information.

If you already have drawings, send the latest floor plan in PDF or image format. If not, send a simple room list with approximate sizes in metres and let us know whether the property is a house, townhouse, office, or mixed-use space. We can work from that and advise what still needs to be checked on site.

  • Full name, suburb, and contact number
  • Type of property and whether it is a new build or retrofit
  • Room names, sizes, and ceiling heights where available
  • Any known issues such as hot rooms, poor airflow, or noise
  • Photos of ceilings, roof space, plant room, or existing units

How the Quote Process Works

Once we have your details, our team reviews the layout and checks whether the project needs a site assessment first. For some homes and offices, a quotation can be prepared from plans alone. For others, especially older buildings or properties with tricky roof spaces, a visit is the best way to avoid surprises later.

Ian Mokoena and the team use the information to work out the zoning layout, duct runs, control points, and airflow requirements. We also look at practical matters like access for installation, drainage, electrical supply, and where the outdoor plant can be placed without running foul of estate or municipal rules.

  • Review of plans or room details
  • Load calculations and system sizing
  • Advice on zones, thermostats, and controls
  • Optional site assessment in Johannesburg or Pretoria
  • Written quotation with scope and exclusions

What Affects the Price

Zoned air-conditioning is not priced on square metres alone. A compact office with many glass partitions can need a different setup from a similar-sized home, and a coastal-style property in Pretoria East or a top-floor unit in Sandton may need extra attention to heat gain and drainage.

We also factor in whether you need a fresh installation, a retrofit into an existing ceiling, or an upgrade to an older system. Add-ons like smart thermostats, motorised dampers, controls programming, and airflow balancing will affect the final Rand amount, but they usually save time and frustration later. Load-shedding planning can also influence the controls and restart logic, especially for busy offices.

When the property is near the coast, or exposed to humidity from poor ventilation, we may suggest components and servicing intervals that better suit the conditions. That kind of detail matters if you want the system to last and not become a monthly maintenance headache.

If You Need a Site Assessment First

Some projects really do need eyes on site before a fair quote can be issued. That is common in older homes in Randburg, converted offices in Sandton, and homes where ceilings have been closed up after previous work. If there is limited access to the roof space or the existing ducting is unknown, we would rather check properly than guess.

During a site assessment we look at the available routes for ducts, the position of returns and supply vents, electrical points, and where condensate can drain safely. We also check whether the proposed zones can be controlled room by room without creating dead spots or overcooling the wrong areas.

  • Measure ceiling voids and access points
  • Check existing equipment and duct condition
  • Confirm likely install time and disruption
  • Identify upgrade options if the current setup is undersized

What Happens After You Approve the Quote

Once you approve the scope, we schedule the work and confirm what is needed before installation day. For new builds, that may include coordination with the builder and electrician. For retrofits, it may mean planning around occupied rooms, office hours, or tenant access.

Reece Naidoo and the installation team handle the fitting, while Kagiso Dlamini checks the design and airflow details if any site conditions change. After installation, we test the dampers, program the controls, and balance the airflow so each zone responds as expected. If the system is being installed in an office, we can also set practical schedules that match working hours and reduce wasted running time.

We cover Johannesburg and Pretoria, including Centurion and Pretoria East, and we keep the paperwork clear so you know what is included before the job starts. If anything changes on site, we explain it straight away rather than leave it until handover.

Send Your Details to design@airzone.co.za

You can email plans, room lists, photos, or a brief summary of what you need. If you are not sure what to include, send what you have and we will tell you what is missing. Megan Pretorius and Ayanda Khumalo will help route the enquiry, and if a visit is needed we will arrange it with you.

Useful details to include are the suburb, the property type, whether it is a new build or upgrade, and any deadline that matters. If the job must fit around tenants, school terms, or office occupancy, mention that too. It saves time and helps us price the work properly the first time.

For a clear quotation in Rand, send the basics now and we will take it from there.

A Few Things We Are Asked All the Time

People often ask whether a quote can be done from one photo. Sometimes yes, but only for simple spaces. For zoned systems, a few room photos and a floor plan are far better than guessing from a single image. We also get asked if the quote will include servicing. If you want seasonal servicing or fault finding added in, say so up front and we will include it where relevant.

If the building is in a body corporate or office park, send any access rules or approval requirements too. That avoids delays later, especially where outdoor units, roof access, or condensate discharge need sign-off. A proper quotation should make the next step easier not harder, and that is how we handle it.

Questions we get asked

Can you quote from floor plans only?

Yes, if the plans are current and show room sizes, ceiling heights, and access points. If the building is unusual or already built, we may still recommend a site assessment before confirming the final price.

Do you cover Pretoria as well as Johannesburg?

Yes. We are based in Johannesburg and cover Pretoria, Centurion, Pretoria East, Sandton, Randburg, and the surrounding areas.

What should I include if I do not have drawings?

Send a room list with approximate sizes, a few photos, the property address, and a short note on what you want the system to do. That is enough for us to start the quotation process.
