Why people join our team
Airzone has been working in Johannesburg since 2009, with projects across Sandton, Randburg, Pretoria, Centurion and Pretoria East. We deal with proper site conditions every day, from tight ceiling spaces and retrofit jobs in older homes to new office builds that need careful load calculations and neat handover work.
People join us because the work is practical and the standards are clear. You will be part of a team that values clean installs, correct airflow, good communication and service that still holds up when the power goes off and comes back on again.
The roles we usually recruit for
We do not keep a public vacancy list here, but we often need people in technical, site and support roles. If you have experience in ducted systems, controls or customer care, we would like to hear from you.
- HVAC installers and ducting technicians
- Service technicians for fault finding and seasonal servicing
- Controls programmers and thermostat setup support
- Junior HVAC designers and load calculation support
- Site supervisors and installation assistants
- Customer support and operations administration
What the work involves
Our jobs are hands-on and vary from week to week. One day you may be on a new build in Pretoria East, the next you may be retrofitting dampers into an existing home in Sandton or balancing airflow in an office in Centurion. Work can include ladders, ceiling access, tools, measurements and coordination with other trades on site.
We also work with smart thermostats and zoned controls, so attention to detail matters. If you are the type who checks the label twice and tests before you leave, you will fit in well.
What we look for in applicants
Formal papers help, but a strong work ethic and steady judgement matter just as much. We look for people who show up on time, keep notes, respect the client’s home or office, and can work safely around equipment and live sites.
- HVAC, electrical or controls experience
- Comfort with site work and basic fault tracing
- Clear communication in English, and Afrikaans or other local languages is useful
- A valid driver’s licence is helpful for some roles
- Willingness to learn new controls and installation methods
How to send your CV
Email your CV to design@airzone.co.za and include a short note on the kind of work you are looking for. Tell us where you are based, which areas you can cover, and what systems you have worked on before. If you have certificates, references or a brief portfolio of site photos, include those as well.
Please make the subject line simple, such as Careers CV and your name. If your experience suits more than one role, mention that too so we can match you to the right opening.
Working with a Johannesburg team that covers Pretoria too
Our base is in Johannesburg, with regular work in Pretoria and the surrounding areas. That means schedules can include early starts, site visits across town and seasonal service calls when the weather changes. In summer we are busy with cooling performance, and in winter we often deal with heating set-up and control checks.
If you want to grow in a company that handles site assessments, system design, retrofit installations and after-sales support, send your CV through. We keep a close eye on practical skill, reliability and how you work with others on the job.
